Dr. Rebecca R. Steves, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Becky grew up in nearby North East, where she graduated from North East High School. She attended Penn State Behrend and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Shortly after graduation from Behrend, she decided to follow in the footsteps of her father-in-law and pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Becky earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2011 from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland. During her time at Case, Dr. Becky maintained the highest academic record and graduated number one in her class. She was presented with many awards for her efforts, including the Alpha Omega Award, Periodontics Award, and TMJ and Occlusion Award. After graduation, Dr. Becky returned to the Erie area to practice dentistry in Corry, PA with her father-in-law.
Dr. Becky loves all aspects of dentistry and she enjoys being able to offer a variety of dental services in the general practice setting, right here in our Corry office. Dr. Becky and her staff strive to make the experience enjoyable for each patient, even those who are extremely anxious and uncomfortable.
In her spare time, Dr. Becky enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids. She loves boxing, reading, and traveling to watch her kids' basketball, baseball, and softball teams.
Dr. Andrea S. Ball, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Andrea grew up in the Clymer/Findley Lake area and attended Clymer Central School. While in high school, Dr. Andrea decided she was very interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. At that time, she began shadowing Dr. Richard Steves and she really enjoyed the variety of procedures he performed each day and the atmosphere at Healthy Smiles. After high school, Dr. Andrea received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from SUNY Fredonia.
Following her graduation from Fredonia, Dr. Andrea returned to Healthy Smiles to work as a dental assistant with Dr. Becky and Dr. Steves for a year before starting dental school. She liked learning more about dentistry and getting to know the staff and patients. Dr. Andrea then moved to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Andrea graduated and moved back to the area in May 2019.
Dr. Andrea loves general dentistry because it allows her to provide a variety of services without being limited to one specific area in the field. Dr. Andrea has enjoyed working on patients both young and old, and looks forward to serving the entire population of Corry and the surrounding areas.
In her free time, Dr. Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, her two boys, and their golden retriever. She loves sports, being outside, cooking, and doing crafts.
Autumn Brunst
Office Manager
From Spartansburg Autumn has been with Healthy Smiles of Corry for more than 30 years. Over the years, she’s worked as a dental assistant, scheduling coordinator, financial coordinator, and now serves as our Office Manager. She completed her dental assisting training at J.H. Thompson Academy in Erie. Autumn loves getting to know our patients and working alongside such a great team every day.
When she’s not at the office, you can probably find Autumn reading or spending time in her flower garden. She also enjoys time with her husband Tim, her three adult children, grandkids, and all of their animals.
Shannon Truesdail
Scheduling Coordinator
Shannon received her training at Erie County Technical School and has been part of the Healthy Smiles of Corry family since 2004. Originally from Union City, she’s a people person through and through and loves her job thanks to her awesome team, boss, and patients. She’s even been voted Best Secretary by the Corry Journal four times!
When she’s not at work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband Brian, her family, and her animals. She keeps busy helping out on her family’s farm, going four-wheeling, and catching live concerts whenever she can.
Erika Ongley
Registered Dental Hygienist
Erika is a dental hygienist and a proud graduate of Corry High School and Fortis Institute, where she earned her associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She’s been part of the Healthy Smiles of Corry team for 5 years and loves helping patients improve their overall health, educating them about dental care, and building lasting relationships.
When she’s not at work, you can find Erika camping with her husband and three kids, playing board games, or getting lost in a good suspense novel.
Laura Walden
Registered Dental Hygienist
Laura has been part of our team since 2020 and brings both skill and compassion to every patient she sees. A 2013 graduate of Warren High School and a 2015 graduate of Fortis Institute for Dental Hygiene, Laura is passionate about helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She enjoys building lasting relationships and educating patients on the importance of good oral health.
Originally from Warren, Laura recently moved to Corry with her husband and their two children—a daughter and a son. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her family, tackling home improvement projects, reading, cooking, and gardening.
Becca Carey
Registered Dental Hygienist
Becca has been with Healthy Smiles of Corry as a Dental Hygienist since 2024. A Spartansburg native and Corry graduate, she earned her Dental Hygiene degree with Cum Laude honors from Youngstown State University.
Becca loves helping patients feel comfortable at the dentist and making them smile! When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
Rachel Hurd
Dental Assistant
Corry native Rachel joined Healthy Smiles of Corry in 2018. She loves working with an awesome team, getting to know her patients, and learning something new every day. Outside the office, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Kyle, and their two kids, riding the side-by-side, and making fun shirts with her Cricut.
Bri Still
Dental Assistant
Bri grew up in Spartansburg and has been a dental assistant for many years. She went to Fortis Institute of Technology for Dental Assisting and loves helping patients feel at ease by explaining what’s going on and easing their fears. She also just plain loves teeth!
Outside of work, Bri enjoys spending time with her family, doing crafts with her daughter, watching football, going to church, and cuddling her kitties.
Elaina Calhoun
Dental Assistant
Elaina is a Corry native who joined our office in July 2024. She feels blessed to be learning from the best teachers around as she grows into her role as a Dental Assistant. Elaina enjoys getting to know our patients and loves being part of a team of smart, supportive women who inspire and teach her every day.
Married in August 2024, when she’s not learning from her work family, Elaina enjoys spending time with her family — and trying to convince her husband to get more cows!
Abigail Sell
Dental Assistant
Corry native Abby recently joined the Healthy Smiles of Corry team as a Dental Assistant. She earned her Dental Assisting degree from Great Lakes Institute of Technology. Abby loves helping people feel confident in their smiles and takes pride in making each visit a positive experience.
When she’s not at work, Abby enjoys spending time with horses, going on nature walks, needle felting, and hanging out with her close friends.
Dr. Richard A. Steves, DMD
Retired Dentist
Dr. Steves graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1975 and then returned to his hometown of Corry to start his dental practice.
Dr. Steves retired from full-time dentistry in January 2017, and his methods and philosophies of dentistry continue to be seen every day at Healthy Smiles of Corry. He always strived to treat his patients like family, stay up to date with the latest techniques and technology, and provide exemplary comprehensive dental care right here in Corry. Dr. Steves is now fully retired from dentistry, but you may still see him around Corry during the summer.
In his retirement, Dr. Steves enjoys relaxing at his Florida home, spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), the Cleveland Guardians, golfing, and playing softball.
